BIG EYED BUTTERFLY is our best navy blue on cream based flower. Like many blue eyes the color is not a uniform navy blue self but appears first as an outer plum band shading into navy blue and then shading into gray and then charcoal. This is a wild color combination. Interestingly, it shows a little different combination of colors on the sepals where there is a distinct lavender band between the outer plum and inner navy blue.

BIG EYED BUTTERFLY is a rare color combination that is destined to be explored in the patterns as well as the blue eyes. Daylilies are wonderful for presenting so many possibilities and BIG EYED BUTTERFLY will be great for opening new doors. Pollen fertile but a difficult pod parent.
