Feeling Thorny, Daylily
*Feeling Thorny

*Feeling Thorny  (Stamile-Pierce)  TET 819 (Bass Gibson x Eight Miles High)  26”  5.75” flower, SEV emo Ere, 7-way branching with 35-40 buds.  Arching Foliage

Karen came up with the quite fitting name of Feeling Thorny as we struggle with new names that are not already taken.  I said “That’s perfect” and the name stuck.  Pat’s best Bass Gibson keeper, it is a self color of clean sherbet orange.  The color is bright and clean with tons of yellow gold teeth and tentacles.  Feeling Thorny has a nice scape with lots of buds and branching.  The green throat tops off the blooms, and she goes none stop until September.  Fertile both ways, but like her parent, pods take persistence and some shade.  Feeling Thorny is a good size flower for its class, and has given us many tentacle/teeth future introductions.  Very nice.  Limited.
