    This beautiful aster violet daylily with a white edge opens flat even in the cool of the early season. In fact, MAGNIFICENT MAGPIE is one of the first of the purples to bloom in the garden. What makes MAGNIFICENT MAGPIE special is that it takes CERISE MASTERPIECE back to its purple roots and that it is perhaps the most heavily branched and budded flower I have ever done.     Fertile both ways. Very fine.
