*ANDY CANDY

*ANDY CANDY (Stamile,P.) TET 0292-B (Awesome Candy X Francois Verhaert) 27” ERe. Dor. fr. emo. 3¾” x 2½” x 1½”. 6-way branching. 35-40 buds.  ANDY CANDY is one of just three dormants being introduced in this fall collection. Named for Andy Fox of Taylorville, North Carolina who requested I name a “Candy” for him.  Andy, here it is.  There is something about this big red eye and edge on a bright orange flower (slide shows more yellow) that always attracts everyone and seems to be a perennial visitor favorite. You would think with all the big flowers in the garden that it would be a big flower that garners the most attention but color attracts and bright color attracts even more. It helps that ANDY CANDY has such consistently beautifully formed flowers that are wide, round and overlapped. Gorgeous deep green foliage sets off the colors. A stunning garden flower but ANDY CANDY does one more thing extremely well. It blooms and blooms and blooms. One of our strongest rebloomers. The third set of scapes were cut off in May to line out this beauty. Easily fertile both ways…………..$100.00
