*ARCTIC LACE

*ARCTIC LACE (Stamile,P.) TET 0499-A [(Lake Effect x Be Thine) X Chartered Course] 26” EMRe. Ev. emo. fr. dd. 5½” x  3¾” x 2½”. 6 - way branching.   40–45  buds. It has been a long time since I have had anything that I would call white as the predominant color of the flower. ARCTIC LACE is a beautiful cream white with a lacy golden yellow edge. The flowers not only demonstrate fimbriated ruffling but also serration and fringing suggestive of fine lace. A gorgeous flower and well admired in the garden. ARCTIC LACE is the beginning of a reinvigorated exploration into the white daylily and away from the cream yellows and pastels that have come to dominate my “white” program. I have come to really appreciate these brilliant diamond dusted whites to offset the warm colors of the daylily palette.  For folks living in areas which experience cool mornings ARCTIC LACE will open perfectly flat with mornings down to 48?F.  A beacon of white in the garden. Fertile both ways.
