20 - 25 buds. CREATIVE VISION - what a standout ! While EYECATCHING
shows us what can happen when the eye increases over the face of the flower,
CREATIVE VISION shows us what happens when the edge becomes wider and wider.
One can imagine what will happen as the edge becomes so wide as to leave
just a little ring of color between the eye and the edge. Daylilies
are capable of so much incredible variation. The plasticity of the gene
pool allows incredible combinations we can only just imagine. The
cross which produced CREATIVE VISION was amazingly variable and productive.
Besides its sib CLASSIC EDGE there were a large number of keepers.
CLASSIC EDGE and CREATIVE VISION were the best, however. The color
of CREATIVE VISION can be somewhat variable. I would describe it
as a cream orange saffron yellow blend with a plum purple eye and edge.
Sometimes the base color appears almost cream white. And the edge becomes
a double edge of plum purple and cream white. CREATIVE VISION is
an incredibly striking flower with exquisite plant habits - excellent scape
to foliage proportion and high flower to foliage density. Amazingly,
CREATIVE VISION breeds large flowers, many up to 6”, most with double
edges in many shades of brown!! Now before you say that you don’t
like brown flowers, wait until you see some of these wide full flat double
edges. A favorite of Grace’s. Easily fertile both ways……………….$200.00
