his name. Oh, you could describe FRANCOIS VERHAERT as an orchid with a
plum violet eye and edge and chartreuse throat but this would hardly begin
to describe this flower! The plum violet eye is almost black at times reaching
out from the throat while the huge deep black violet plum border reaches
in from the edges leaving but small triangular dollops of orchid color
in the petals. Wire the edge of the black violet plum border in white and
you mark the sepals with a patterned eye and you begin to understand the
complexity of this incredibly beautiful flower. An absolute must for the
