*KEY  LIME  ICE

*KEY  LIME  ICE (Stamile,P.) TET 6392-A       21”  EMRe. Ev. fr. EMO.     6” x 3 1/8” x 2 1/8”. 3 way branching.  18 buds.  KEY LIME ICE  was certainly a surprise when it bloomed.  From two tall stately well-branched whites with modest gold edges comes KEY LIME ICE a relatively short white with a braided gold edge and modest branching.  Yet this flower is clearly the number one pick of hybridizers in the garden and for good reason.  The blooms are large and flat with some of  the most gold braiding I have seen on the edge of a daylily. Moreover the color of the flower is exquisite.  Picture a pale lettuce green cream blend with a deep grass green throat.  The flowers are noted for their sparkling braided gold edges  which will undoubtedly be taken by hybridizers to every color of the rainbow.  Even the sepals are braided on this beauty.  I myself have taken it only to whites and I can report that KEY LIME ICE will remarkably produce what appears to be almost a new class of whites.  Beautiful deep green foliage sets off the flowers nicely.  Outstanding vigor. Fertile both ways.………………………..$200.00SF
