Angel wings.  Like most hybridizers I pay attention to what other hybridizers like or think important. KITTY WELLS was the pick of my neighboring hybridizers as well as visiting hybridizers. This huge pale creamy apricot is exceptionally heavy and flat. While most Tetra Ruffled Masterpiece seedlings were small and fancy, occasionally you would see a SPECTRAL ELEGANCE or a KITTY WELLS show up. They were certainly not the norm but a very welcome sight.  KITTY WELLS, named for the old English folk song, is the pinnacle of what I would call super ornate in the world of daylilies. For size and ornate ruffles you need to look no further than KITTY WELLS – a super daylily. Fertile both ways but a difficult pod parent.
