*MOVING ALL OVER

*MOVING ALL OVER (Stamile,P.)  TET868-B [(Star Of India x Tetra Green Widow) X (Star Of India x Tetra Green Widow)]  30” EERe. fr. emo. Dor. 11” (12 ¾” wingspan) x 1 ¼” x 1 1/16”.  3 way branching. 15-18 buds.  The name came as I was showing the bloom to Grace and she exclaimed, “Oh, it’s moving all over!”  A very surprising dormant from an F2 cross of two evergreen parents MOVING ALL OVER should be happy North and South.  A superb EE here with strong rebloom MOVING ALL OVER demonstrates what I love to see in spiders and unusual forms – the twisting which gives the flower a sense of motion that the full forms with their formal appearance cannot have.  Even a lot of true spiders can have a stiffness and static nature to their blooms.  Strong upright scapes on MOVING ALL OVER have never fallen over or even leaned for me.  At a minimum ratio of 4.0  MOVING ALL OVER  is our first tetraploid spider introduction.  If you measure the narrowest petal rather than the longest (not allowed by the rules) MOVING ALL OVER measures a full 5.3 ratio!  Stretched out MOVING ALL OVER measures almost 13” and this from two 7”-8” flowers – the power of having an induced parent on both sides!  The GREEN WIDOW influence is seen in the deep green lacquered throat.  The twisted and pinched crispata form came from the pollen parent which twisted and pinched despite coming from two beautiful but fairly formal flowers.  Superb and fertile both ways…..$100.00
