*NORTHERN GIANT

*NORTHERN GIANT (Stamile, P.) TET 04-D {[Taos X [First Knight X (Great White x Key Lime Ice)] 23” MRe. Dor. emo. ext. dd. 7” x 3 ¾” x 2 7/8”. 3-way branching. 21 buds.  Again I was expecting a dormant white from this line of crossing but the pinks in the background of TAOS were not to be denied.(See description of color inheritance in CHAMPAGNE PARTY.) The result is a beautiful baby ribbon pink of exceptional clarity due to the “white” base in the flower. The blooms of NORTHERN GIANT are especially large and with sepals about 3” wide it looks like SILOAM GOLIATH but with a pink cast and gold edge.  I am really excited to hear how this flower will do in the north. In my heart I am hoping that like its famous pod parent it will be both larger and even more dramatic in the north. Gorgeous. Fertile both ways.
