*PEACOCK FEATHERS (Stamile, P.) TET
052-A (Skinny Dipping X Tetra Wildest Dreams) 43” MRe. SEv. vfr. emo. 8”
x 1 ½” x 1”. 13” wingspan. Crispate spider. Spider ratio 4.2:1.
7-way branching. 45-50 buds. Strong erect scapes. Only one of two keepers
from the difficult to use Tetra WILDEST DREAMS, PEACOCK FEATHERS is a very
different kind of spider. This pink with a red eye is a different color
combination from what is usually seen in the spiders. Blooms are carried
on tall well branched scapes that always garner attention in the garden.
Visitors note the plant habit with all the buds and branching on this cultivar.
Although it does not have quite the bud count of GOLD PINWHEEL it is our
best branched spider in the fall collection. (An aberration in the spiders
is that sometimes a branch will not have 7 buds which is typical of the
full forms). An excellent parent for pinks, lavenders and whites with pink
or lavender eyes. Easily fertile both ways.
