STITCHINGS (Stamile,P.) TET 4321 (Aragon X Sue Brown) 29” MRe. emo. Ev.
5.25” x 2 .75” x 2”. 4-way branching (2 laterals + terminal “y”). 20-25
buds.
This orchid cream has an unusual raspberry eye and
edge. The flowers have an informal quality about them that I find
endearing but it is the deep raspberry edge that seems to be “stitched
on” that makes this flower remarkable. The base color of RASPBERRY
STITCHINGS is fairly clear with very little or no beige or tan
overtones.
I have used RASPBERRY STITCHINGS for the color
pallet it presents looking to explore patterns, eyes and eyes with
edges. I particularly like the quality that it will set with almost any
pollen put to it. It is what I call a “count on pod” and so it is a
delight to work with. I should bloom seedlings this season from a
variety of pollen parents taken to RASPBERRY STITCHINGS and I am
excited to see just what it will produce. Easily fertile both ways.
