*SANGRE  DE  CRISTO

*SANGRE DE CRISTO (Stamile,P.,1999) TET T-4307-E (Gilded Rose x Seminole Wind) 30” EMRe. Dor. fr. EMO. ext. 6” x 3” x 2”.  5 - 6 way branching.  40 - 45 buds. SANGRE DE CRISTO can best be described as a dormant gold edged pink reverse bitone.  Wow, what a mouthful!  Petals are salmon pink while the sepals are deep rose pink.  The throat color is a deep kelly green.  Blooms are flat, round and ruffled with a very heavy substance and marked with a wire gold edge on the petals.  The color is reminiscent of  sunsets on the Sangre De Cristo mountains outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Anyone who has ever viewed those mountains in the setting sun knows how beautiful those colors are.  But, SANGRE DE CRISTO is more than  just a pretty color and a pretty face.  Near perfect plant habit, outstanding branching and bud count, excellent plant balance, outstanding flower display and outstanding clump presence all add to its beauty.  Easily fertile both ways……………….$100.00SF
