*ECCENTRICITY

* 'Eccentricity' (John Peat, 2004). Dormant. 22 in. (55.9 cm) scape; 5.5 in. (14 cm) flower. Early-midseason. Reblooms. 4 branches with 25 buds. A faint orange color with a pattern so large that there is little petal self showing. The dark candy-apple red eyezone bleeds out from the grass-green throat in ripples of variations of red, with the pattern extending out to the very tip of the petals. The sepals carry the showy rippled effect of this pattern, but appear to have a 1/4 inch gold edging with a slight orange tint. A very bright and  eye-catching flower. Tetraploid. 'Avant Garde' x 'Altered State'.
