Double Early Season |
Super Double Late Season |
Normally I would not have named 91-BB because
it has
very modest branching and bud count but the performance of this daylily
is
amazing. Blooming for me from April through September, it is always in
bloom
and long after the other daylilies have finished blooming.
How do you get a 100 % double from two
singles that
never double? Again look at the pod parent Tet Little Leprechaun’s
parents: [Boogie Woogie Blues
(double) X (Boogie
Woogie Blues (double) x Little Sea Sprite)]. As you can see Little
Leprechaun’s
genes are ¾ from a double and the same double at that. As we
know converted
Tets have an outsized effect on their seedlings, so we should not be
too
surprised at the outcome.
Tet Little Leprechaun, while also making
singles,
makes doubles when crossed to other singles like Blockchain and Sky
Bridge.
