![]() ![]() Our group came in and removed all of the ground cloth, turned all the beds around the plant material that could be saved, pulled any weeds that were growing up through and under the ground cloth and reapplied the mulch. ![]() Early in the season, we added
plant material that we purchased within the budget of the
client, in consultation with the client. Through the summer, we often
have
excess plant material when thinning other clients gardens, with
permission of those clients, we re-distribute the plant material to our
other clients and create new landscapes with a variety of plants that
our clients otherwise would not have spent the money on. Having a
variety of clients allows us to add plant material without cost to our
clients, with exception of labour.
![]() We managed to save some of the existing plant material. ![]() As you can see in this shot some of the
old plant material and plenty of weeds were able to survive being
covered with the landscape fabric and mulch and in this picture, very
early in the spring, they began to emerge. They did leave a half dozen
types of perennials undercovered that they recognized, such as the
Daylily clump in the front of this bed.
![]() In this image you see a pretty
ugly back yard, take special note of the lovely plywood hiding 3 feet
of junk that had been piled up over the years in the very back of the
yard. The new owner of this house asked that we cleanup the yard so
that his tenant could use it.
![]() I submitted a design and the work
began. Here you see we layed patio slabs down the center of the garden
and built two flower beds. The foreground was an after thought by the
owner, so we added a grassy area for the tenants dog to do his business
on.
![]() Here you see us working into the
night, as the job as always had to be done the day before the owner
called us in. Notice the fence in the back, we put that up after
removing a full 100 yard container of wood, brick, concrete, beer
bottles, you name it from that area and put a privacy fence.
![]() He were doing one final cleanup of
the patio. We have 3 crushed rock beds to help reduce any weeding in
the back as this yard is 90% shade.
![]() The tenant was thrilled, as was
her pooch as you can see in the foreground the brown patches in the
grass from the puppy. The left garden was planted by the tenant, herbs,
vegetables etc. we planted the flowers on the right.
